Today has been a good day.
My classes, well class I should say, went well.
One of the two even got cancelled!
I played racquet ball with some friends.
And...
IT SNOWED! yayyy!!!
Good things on the 12th of January:
- My roommate and I having a good morning getting ready and stuff. And by this, I'm talking about morning routines. You know how if you go to camp or something, you always seem to be in someone's way? Or you need to shower when someone else does, or someone else needs the sink/mirror when you do? Well, we didn't have any of that. It went very smoothly!
- Going to my first class and finding a semi-familiar face. It was this girl, whose name escapes me, that I met through my friend Rachel. The girl lives on her floor. I'll take having one person that I met once over no one I know at all.
- When I was going to my second class, there was a cute guy going there too! Unfortunately, that was the class that got cancelled.
- Spending the afternoon napping and reading.
- Reading Walk 12.
- Playing racquet ball with Savannah, Bradley, and Justin.
- SNOW.
So today's reading was about Jacob returning to his homeland and facing Esau again.
Jacob thought Esau would still be mad, but he wasn't.
Esau was overjoyed to see his brother again.
It was a sweet homecoming.
Even though Jacob had been blessed, and through that blessing Esau was supposed to serve Jacob, Jacob still approached Esau with tons of gifts and calling him "master".
I guess this story can teach us lessons in forgiveness, humbleness, and knowing that even though you, by right, may be better, it's best to approach others like they're the better one.
